1 Star Sales Review
Please disregard the answers to the questions above. I wanted to comment on our recent experience with your dealership. First I want to say that in no way am I being critical of Rick Staton. Rick was honest with us and I appreciate his help. My wife and I were there over this past weekend looking for a pre-owned car. We have a very limited budget and had seen a car on your website that we thought might fit our needs. It turns out that car didn't fit our needs but Rick's manager pointed out another vehicle, a 2007 Ford Freestyle, that we were very interested in. The car had just arrived at your facility so it had not been detailed or checked out but we made it clear that we were interested in the car and wanted to test drive it when it had gone through your preparation. Rick called me today, 8/5, to let me know the car was ready. I work out of town so I told Rick I would let my wife know and that she would likely want to test drive the car. Here's the problem - in a span of just a few hours, the car was sold. We never got a chance to test drive it, and had the test drive been a good one, we were prepared to purchase the car. Rick spoke to my wife and was upset that the car had already been sold. Needless to say, I'm very upset and disappointed with your dealership. While I didn't place a deposit on the car - the car simply wasn't ready and I wasn't going to put money down on a car that might not be roadworthy - I believe that we should have been able to at least evaluate the car before it was sold. I'm left with only 2 conclusions from what's happened - either there was a serious lack of communication between your sales staff that allowed the car to be sold, or there was no regard for the fact that we had expressed an interest in the car (and remember, we expressed this interest BEFORE the car was ever ready to be sold) and it was sold regardless of our interest. I have to believe the latter is the case. That being said, unless your dealership is willing to offer us something comparable that will stay on the lot long enough for us to test drive it, my dealings with you are over. I realize that since we didn't put any money down on the car, that I really don't have a leg to stand on, but I still feel that we were treated horribly when we were nothing but honest about our interest in the car. You can contact me if you like, but please don't unless you have something to offer that's worth listening to.
