1 Star Sales Review
I bought a car, a used car, from this dealership and owned it exactly 43 days when I began having issues with the car. I called the guy who sold me the car to see if they would fix the problem. I hadn't`t had the car very long and had only driven it a total of 400 miles in that time. When I called Scott was all beside himself to make sure he helped me get it fixed right away. I mean the brakes on the car shouldn't`t be singing this soon after purchase right and the battery shouldn't`t have gone bad. So I got off the phone with him and was relieved that this was going to get fixed. Then 20 minutes later Scott calls me back and starts talking about how they aren't going to help me. They would have been happy to help me if it had been the new car he thought I was talking about. The time quickly changed when he realized that I was talking about a used car and he uses 2 words to describe why they don`t have to help me with either situation. Those 2 words were state inspection. Capital Ford and Scott it isn't`t about your state inspection and that it gets you out of fixing anything that goes wrong with a used car. It is about what is right. I`'ve only had this car for 53 days and have driven it 450 miles I couldn't`t have possibly driven that car so hard I broke the battery and wore through the brake pads. My grandfather owned a used car lot and he was known in the quad cities area as a reputable salesmen. In an era when husbands took their wives to the used car salesman to make sure they got a good car. Men freely sent their wives on their own to his lot because they knew that their wives would come home with a good car. They also knew that if for any reason there was something wrong with the vehicle my Grandfather would have fixed it on the spot no state inspection and I`m not responsible. Just fix and make right. This is what I asked of you, to do the right thing, instead I got state inspection and no.
