Introducing the NEW 2020 Ford Explorer

The Ford Explorer has been a household name for Americans. From long road trips to daily commutes, the Ford Explorer has served every purpose for years. And now, the exotic vehicle is getting another facelift for the coming year. Ford is launching the New 2020 Ford Explorer that promises to be an improved, more powerful version of your much-loved Explorer. If you are planning to buy the New 2020 Ford Explorer in North Carolina, here’s everything you need to know.

Engine and Performance
The Base, XLT, and Limited trims of the 2020 Ford Explorer come standard with a 300 hp, turbocharged, 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine. The Platinum and Explorer ST come with a more powerful 365 hp twin-turbocharged, 3.0-liter V6 engine. There is also a 400 hp version of the same engine. The Explorer is also introducing a new hybrid engine that pairs a 3.3-liter V6 engine with an electric motor to give an overall output of 318 hp.

The New 2020 Ford Explorer can tow up to 5600 lbs when equipped properly. The standard version comes with a rear-wheel-drive platform, but the all-wheel drive is still available as an option. The standard transmission is a 10-speed automatic.

Overall, the athletic build and powerful engine make the New 2020 Ford Explorer a real sports utility vehicle.

Technology
The New 2020 Ford Explorer comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen and supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also an optional 10.1-inch vertical screen with the Platinum and ST models.

The driver-assist technology in the New Ford Explorer is the Co-pilot360 suite from Ford. This package includes features like automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist.

Interiors and Seating
Although not much has changed in the interior design, the cabin is still comfortable and highly functional. The New 2020 Ford Explorer has made third-row seating easier using a new mechanism to help passengers get to the third row easily. It moves the second row of seats out of the way with just the touch of a button.

Overall, the New Ford Explorer is about to become an exciting new addition to Ford’s lineup, and we're sure you can’t wait for the launch of the New 2020 Ford Explorer in North Carolina.
